What to expect…
Your learning journey with Liv and Learn begins with an initial session designed to help us understand you as the learner. During this first meeting, we’ll explore your current level in the subjects you need support with, assess your attitude towards learning, and identify the teaching methods and resources you respond to best. This helps us determine your unique learning style and develop a tailored progress plan that sets out clear goals and the steps needed to achieve them. This progress plan can be shared with you, your parent(s) or carer(s).
From there, you’ll be carefully matched with the member of our team whose expertise and approach align perfectly with your needs. Every session will be thoughtfully planned around your individual goals, ensuring lessons are engaging, effective, and built entirely around you.
All our online lessons take place via Microsoft Teams, where homework and feedback are shared directly to your personal Teams page - keeping everything organised and allowing you to track your progress with ease. Your personal Teams page also acts as a truly wraparound service; between your lesson your tutor is there to answer questions when posted, provide ongoing encouragement and share relevant resources. Our wraparound service is completely free of charge, as learning should not be limited to lesson time.

Yes! We provide flexible options for both online and in-person sessions to suit each student’s preferences and schedule.

We take into account the student’s subject needs, learning style, and personality to find the best tutor match for them. We pride ourselves in getting it right first time, but if we don’t, a lateral shift within the team is more than possible!

Sessions typically last one hour, but we can adjust this based on the learner’s age, needs, and preferences.

Absolutely! We understand life happens and aim to be as flexible as possible. Any changes made before 24hrs of the scheduled lesson are very much welcomed. However, any lessons cancelled within 24hrs will be charged in full to respect tutor time.

Yes, we offer discounted rates for block bookings or sibling discounts.

All our tutors are required to write detailed lesson plans and post-lesson debriefs, which are stored internally. Therefore, we can offer progress reports upon request, as regularly as you would like - weekly, monthly or termly! We also check in periodically to ensure goals and targets are being met.

Yes, absolutely. More than half the battle of exams is knowing how and what to revise. So in the lead up to 11+, GCSEs and A-Levels we offer one-to-one or group crammer-style courses. So, keep your eyes peeled for those announcements!
